In this episode, I invited Lou - Lunch Lady Lou - to share this conversation with me, as we both feel passionate about supporting people to choose healthy foods, to shop in a conscious and mindful way, to know how to cook simple and healthy foods at home, to feel less overwhelm and more empowered in ways we can keep ourselves and our families nourished and healthy.  As we are all feeling the heaviness and uncertainty of COVID-19 and the limited supplies available to us, during isolation and lock down, Lou and I talk about healthy shopping choices, planning meals in advance, being creative with recipes, taking the overwhelm away and enjoying the simplicity of healthy home cooked food.  I hope you will enjoy our nurturing and nourishing conversation, as it naturally flows - in the moment and unedited - and you feel comforted and uplifted by suggestions shared here, hopeful that you can cook and care for yourself and your family during this time.  We share with love x

Episode 14
In this episode, I talk about holding space for all our feelings and emotions.  Every feeling we have is valid.  Every emotion calls for, and deserves acknowledgement. Especially, and even more so, during these uncertain and challenging times.  I also speak about my belief in 'less as more' and how pressing pause, stepping back, and taking time to reflect, might be the most supportive thing for you, right now.  I feel passionate about all of this as true compassion and support for our whole wellbeing. Personally and collectively.  I hope this 'in the moment' and unedited episode will feel supportive to you, in some way.

In this episode, I talk about speaking our truth in way that heals not harms.  I think we can misunderstand what it means to speak our truth. We may even misunderstand vulnerability.  I feel it's so important to have self awareness, and to understand what speaking our truth really means and how it feels for us, personally, as individuals. Then we can speak and express ourselves from this truthful space within, where it's healing and supportive, for ourselves and for others.  I believe this is so necessary for our mental health and mental wellbeing.

I love sharing these in the moment, unedited, real conversations with guests on this podcast.  Today, it's such a joy to share this heart opening conversation with Hayley Carr. Hayley is a 9 X Karate World Champion, and Life & Leadership Coach for high peformers.  She has a very special and unique way of turning things upside down and inside out, and when you take it all in, it just makes sense.  As with this conversation and many others with Hayley, I am always left with much to ponder, reflect on, question, things that may challenge me, things that make me see myself and life in a very different way, or a new perspective.  

There are so many things we talk about in this episode - too many to summarise - but all so deeply relevant, for us all as well beings.  I just encourage you to listen in with curiosity, openness, and with a pen or pencil, to write down all the insights that will come up for you, as they always do for me.  I just love being around Hayley - her energy is magnetic, she's honest and open,  and she's one of the most powerful and compassionate human beings I know.  I feel deeply blessed with her presence in my life. I know that by listening in, you'll feel empowered to liberate your life, and believe that you can when you are willing.  As in her own beautiful words 'the life you crave is so much closer than you think'.

I’m Hayley Carr
A 9 X world champion martial artist, a girl who once suffered for a long time with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (and used these tools to deal with it once and for all) - and a vintage vespa-riding, country dwelling tea enthusiast.
I know the pain of going around in circles mentally with myself without action for years on end.
I know the elation of breaking through glass ceilings over, and over again to reach heights people only dream about - as well as the dark side of that high achievement.
And I know the hurt or beauty a single sentence can bring. Especially as a coach.

Wholeness as the essence of a well being

In this episode I talk about holistic healing - how seeing and feeling ourselves as whole beings is a huge part of this.  I talk about empowering ourselves to find our own meanings around healing and wellbeing, through challenges, changes and transitions.  I believe in wholeness as the essence for us all, as well beings.  I believe in seeing past limitations and ways we may define ourselves, through circumstances in life, and instead, to embrace our wholeness, and our willingness to know and understand that healing resides within us all.  I hope you will feel supported through my words and reflections shared here.
