Overthinking is something so many of us do. It can be harmful for our health and wellbeing.
Overthinking can lead to stress, anxiety, even depression and other mental health issues. Overthinking can affect our immune system and make us more susceptible to illness. Overthinking can interrupt sleep and affect our energy levels and our mood. If we live with a health condition that we manage, overthinking can increase symptoms and pain, and it can become a vicious cycle.

We all have times of uncertainty in our lives. You may be feeling it right now in some way.
Transitions in life can bring up a lot of feelings and emotions. Whatever it may be - any changes to our life circumstances can be big transitions in many ways. It's necessary and supportive for ourselves to deeply acknowledge this. Cultivating self belief comes from within and is necessary for our wellbeing.
Self belief doesn't come from others. It comes from within ourselves.
I think of planting a seed and all the ways we can nurture and nourish it to grow. It takes water, sunshine, all the nutrients from the soil - the right environment - to flourish. Self belief can be cultivated in this same way. We create the environment within ourselves for self belief to grow and to flourish.
Have you ever written a love letter to yourself? Today is the perfect day to do this.
It's so very true that the most important relationship we will ever have, is the one we have with ourselves. There's no better day than today, to create time and space to love and appreciate yourself. We so often look to others for love, or to seek some kind of reassurance or validation. But if we really choose to love ourselves, it's necessary and truly supportive to find that self worth and self compassion, within ourselves. Living and loving without being attached to any set outcome or end goal ...How would it feel to let go of anything you don't need to carry? If you could release any of the weight or heaviness you hold within you? Or perhaps the pressure or expectation you place on yourself, to be a certain way, or for there to be certainty with life ahead?
How would it feel if you could let go of the need for a just a happy ending, or for everything to be fixed, to work out, to return to normal, or perhaps a need for it to be and feel how it was before? How would it feel and what would it mean, if you could let all of that go? Give yourself permission to allow yourself to release it all. And instead, be willing to see and feel and believe in yourself and in life, in a new and different way. |
