Acceptance brings calm and is the most supportive and empowering space for change. When we can accept ourselves and everything in this present moment, right now, we can feel a deep sense of calm and ease. From this space of acceptance, we can then find and know ways to manage things, and to support ourselves in every way.

Do you call friends and ask how they're doing? Even more so, right now? It can very overwhelming with so much happening in our world right now. Just as locally, here in our own country, and closer to home, within our own communities, there is violence, mental health issues, illnes, suffering, grief, pain, and so much more. Along with all the good and beautiful things too. It's all happening every day, very close to home. Even someone you may know. Even a close friend. Even someone in your family.
It's never lost on me, that for true holistic healing, through challenges, changes and transitions in our hearts and lives - acknowledgement is everything. It truly is. I've been reminded of this recently in my own life, and I wanted to write, with a little vulnerability here, but only because, by writing and speaking what is true for me, you may feel something similar, and feel supported here. I hope so.
You can choose to make powerful changes in your heart and your life.
We are never defined by what we live with, or any challenge, change, situation or circumstance. We are only ever defined by how we see and believe ourselves to be. There are a lot of opinions and messages we hear and read right now. I've been feeling this heightened sense of information-overload myself, and I know many others I've spoken to, who are feeling this right now. I've also been a little lost at times, with not what it is I believe in saying, but feeling a little more vulnerable in doing so, in not wanting to add to the noise, not wanting to add to anything for my own sake really, but only as something that might add support for another.
These words are for your heart to hold onto when you forget them for yourself.
For all the times the harsher inner voice may become louder than the softnesss you know as your power, your grace, that you just forget for a moment, how to shine through. Words you might become too familiar with - I'm not enough. But compared to who? Not enough - in what ways or shapes or forms? And what does it even mean to you - to be not enough, or not good enough - when aren't we all, already enough, more than enough, in our entirety? Constantly evolving. Yet always complete. Always whole. Always enough. I feel like writing this 'in the moment', honest letter right now, to you, and for anyone who feels that these times are very trying, challenging, and honestly, some days may feel impossibly hard.
If this is you, do you know that many people are also feeling this way too, or similar to you? Because they are. You just may not hear about them or perhaps know of them. But you're not alone. So many people are finding these times, right now, very hard. It's okay to be honest and real about how things are and how you feel. This virus has certainly turned our world as we know it, upside down and inside out.
We are all having our own experiences of it. It's a curious thing how we talk about togetherness, and yet in many ways, there is much separateness. I'm often left wondering, or just pausing my thoughts or words for a moment and thinking 'what if I were you', or asking 'how does it feel to be you'. Because I feel more than ever, that our times right now are calling for this. Asking us to all to rise up, within ourselves, but also to see one another with greater empathy, and compassion. I hope I'm not alone with my thoughts and hopes for this. All the words and messages we are taking in. It can feel quite exhausting some days. And others, exhilarating. These times of heightened feelings and emotions in so many ways.
Phrases like these. This is an opportunity. There is possibility. This is the time to be and become the best or better version of you. The time to start something new is now. There are so many creative projects you could be doing. Don't waste this time by doing nothing, but make use of this time by doing more. Or not. What if instead, you simply allowed yourself to just BE. Maybe for the first time you've ever contemplated doing so. Just being. Not adding to anything. Not doing more. What if you just took things moment by moment, day by day. How to cope in isolation or lock down ... ask someone who lives with a chronic health condition ...3/21/2020
This is a truth bomb today. It really is. As these times are calling us to really reflect on many things. Including those around us who have a lot of courage and wisdom that perhaps we just haven't realised. And now's the time to listen and to ask these people for support.
