This is part three and the final blog of this series I've been sharing. All about slow living, with intention - as for me, this is the essence of feeling calm and ease, connected within myself, confident in how I choose to be and live my own unique life, with meaning and purpose. Not dependent on the fast paced, outside world, or feeling influenced by the stress or becoming involved within it, or any one else's way of being and living. Slow living with intention, I feel, is truly knowing our own values, making decisions and choices aligned with these, and choosing this, every day, in every way. You can read part one here, part two here, and I'm adding to this, with a few more ways to share, in this final piece today.

My beautiful dad gifted me a camera for Christmas. One of those 'real' cameras that so many of us forget about with our iphones these days! I've had one on my 'wish list' for ages, feeling a desire to truly 'capture the light' in all the small things. Yesterday afternoon, I went for a very slow wander around my local streets, and just noticed all the small things, the tiny things, the beautiful things - and came home with photos of many so-called ordinary moments, but extraordinary when you really choose to see the light.
Something that inspires creativity for me, is writing something every day. It might be with pen and paper, and just making notes of things that come to mind. It might be writing in my journal, in the mornings, or after a meditation practice. It might be writing a blog piece, like this, and just showing up, each day. I know that I always feel my best when I am in a creative flow. And despite whatever my experience or circumstance, or however I feel, I love to hold an intention for myself, to be consistent with a writing practice, every day. It means that I don't feel stuck, or pressured, or fall back into a tendency for things to be perfect before sharing. Consistency helps to stop any of those blocks or unhelpful ways of thinking, or being. So I just write, as my creative outlet, as I love to let the words flow onto a page, and it helps me feel ease and calm, and to uplift my spirits, in my everyday.
This is huge topic I could write about for ages. I feel so passionately about our own conscious choices, and intentional ways we use social media.
I think it's absolutely necessary, and a priority for us all, for our own wellbeing, to really know what works for us and why. |
